Classes begin 6:30 p.m.

A STUDY OF SELECTED PSALMS

The Psalms have been a “book” of prayers and songs for God’s people for over 3000 years.  The Psalms are rich expressions of God’s people relating to Him through their circumstances and sins.  In this four-week course we will look at how we can incorporate the Psalms into our devotional time to help us deepen our relationship with God.  We will plan to study Psalm 103, 51, 63 and 23.

Facilitator: Kevin Nobles

Location: Fellowship Hall

JOSEPHUS AND THE MESSIAH

Josephus was a Jewish priest, general, and historian who was born just a few years after the death and resurrection of Christ. His historical writings provide our primary extra-biblical source about Jewish life at the time of Jesus. In our discussion of Josephus, we will focus on what his writings tell us about the varied Jewish expectations for the Messiah and how these expectations shaped various responses to Jesus.
